1. Our tips for a durable mattress:
🧼 Maintaining your mattress for lasting comfort
A good mattress is an investment in your well-being. To preserve its qualities and extend its lifespan, a few simple steps make all the difference.
🔄 The first few months: let the mattress adapt
During the first few weeks, the filling materials will settle. It is normal for the mattress to change slightly to better conform to the contours of your body.
🧹 Hygiene and regular maintenance
-
Change your sheets frequently to limit the accumulation of dust, sweat and dust mites.
-
Regularly vacuum the surface of the mattress (with a soft attachment) to remove allergens.
-
Use a waterproof and breathable mattress protector to preserve the cover.
🔁 Rotation and ventilation
-
Regularly rotate the mattress (head/feet) every 2 to 3 months to distribute wear.
-
Air out your room daily, and remove the duvet when you wake up to allow the moisture to escape naturally.
-
Place your mattress on a ventilated surface (slatted base, upholstered base, or open structure) to avoid any accumulation of moisture.
2. What to do if liquid is spilled on the mattress:
Accidents can happen quickly. Here are the steps to follow to limit the damage if you spill liquid on your mattress:
🧼 Steps to follow:
-
Remove the cover immediately
Wash it in cold water with a mild detergent, without bleaching agents.
Let it air dry. ⚠️ Never put it in the dryer. -
Carefully blot the mattress
Using clean towels, absorb as much liquid as possible by gently pressing on the affected area.
Do not rub, this could damage the foam. -
Allow to air dry
Once the moisture has been absorbed, allow the mattress to dry completely in a well-ventilated room.
To speed up the process, you can direct a fan towards the wet area.
❗ Never do this:
-
Never wash the mattress foam.
-
Do not use any harsh products (bleach, chemical stain remover, steam, etc.).
-
Do not cover the mattress until it is completely dry, to prevent mold growth.
💡 Swiss Bedding prevention tip:
Protect your mattress for the long term with a waterproof and breathable mattress protector that is machine washable.
3. Moving your mattress:
Transportation :
If needed, you can temporarily fold your mattress lengthwise to make it easier to move.
⚠️ Always fold the mattress so that the memory foam is on the inside, to avoid damaging it.
📌 Never leave the mattress folded for too long: it must regain its original shape quickly after transport.
Storage:
To preserve its properties, a mattress should always be stored flat, on a flat surface.
🚫 Do not store it upright or folded, as this could alter its internal structure.
🛏️ Positioning handles:
The handles sewn onto our mattresses are designed to make them easy to reposition on your bed.
⚠️ These are not designed to carry or lift the entire mattress. Use them only to adjust it, never to transport it.
4. Cleaning the cover:
All our mattresses are equipped with a removable and washable cover, to guarantee optimal hygiene throughout the year.
✅ Washing instructions:
-
Wash the cover in the washing machine at a low temperature, at a maximum of 40°C, with a gentle spin cycle.
-
Air dry only: never use a tumble dryer.
-
Do not use bleaching agents or strong stain removers, regardless of their composition, in order to preserve the quality of the fabric.
To prolong the life of your cover, we recommend washing it 2 to 4 times a year, depending on your use.
5. Our tips for a durable pillow:
During the first few weeks of use, it's normal for your pillow or cushion to gradually adapt to your body shape. Soft filling materials need time to settle and provide perfectly personalized support.
To maintain their comfort and hygiene, we recommend regularly cleaning your bedding, particularly by frequently changing your pillowcases and sheets. This helps limit the accumulation of dust, deposits, and dust mites, and ensures your products perform optimally for many years.
🧺 Washing instructions for the cover
All our pillows come with a removable and washable cover. To care for them:

💡 Proper care not only prolongs the life of your pillow, but also the quality of your sleep.
